Learn more about the TPP in person: Bismarck Oct. 11, Rugby Oct. 13, Fargo Oct. 18

Want to learn more about the largest trade deal ever that would hurt everyone except giant, multinational corporations? The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would trade away American democracy and negatively impact farmers, ranchers, consumers, workers, and small businesses. North Dakota’s members of Congress are strongly considering support for the TPP. Dakota Resource Council participated in a “fly-in” organized by national allies in mid-September to lobby members of Congress in Washington, D.C., asking for a public commitment to opposing the TPP. It seems likely the TPP will come up for a vote after the November election in the lame duck session.

October 10-15 is a national week of action for TPP efforts. Stay tuned for alerts and ways you can help. Make sure you follow Dakota Resource Council on Facebook to share information and opportunities for involvement.
