Claire Lowstuter joined DRC in August 2016 as a clean energy organizer. She attended high school and college in northern Colorado, where she developed a passion for the outdoors and sustainable living. After graduating, Claire and her husband, Derek, joined Peace Corps and served two years in Ethiopia, working on conservation and natural resource management issues. She has since worked a variety of interesting jobs in the nonprofit and public sectors. Claire and Derek moved to Rugby, ND, in 2013, where Claire worked with the NDSU Extension Service. She has experience and appreciation for collaborating with people in different areas of expertise.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband, Derek, their young daughter, and dog. Her family is happy to be in the Bismarck community where they go on walks, attend the Unitarian Universalist fellowship, and grow vegetables in the long summer days.
